Champions League

The Champions League resumes Tuesday when Manchester United travels under its new and temporary management to face a difficult challenge at Villareal. Unai Emery’s Spanish club are level on points with United in the group but fell to the Red Devils on a Cristiano Ronaldo stoppage time goal in the clubs’ last meeting. Chelsea hopes to avenge an earlier defeat to Juventus when it hosts the Italians at Stamford Bridge. Christian Pulisic could feature for the Blues who are expected to be without attackers Romelu Lukaku and Kai Havertz. Timo Werner could also return from his October hamstring injury. Manchester City have a high-profile date with a PSG squad which could have Sergio Ramos available to debut with his new club. The Citizens will try to avenge a September loss to the Parisians. Liverpool will try to stay perfect in Champions League group play as Porto visits Anfield.

Leicester is home to Legia Warsaw, hoping to avenge an earlier defeat to the Polish club and improve the Foxes’ current third place position in their group standings.
